Did you know?
While we have more in Florida than all other southern states, the American Alligator ranges from North Carolina to Texas and the border of Mexico. Adult males can grow up to 1,000 pounds and can get as big as 14 feet in length. Females rarely exceed 10 feet long. In the wild, alligators have a diet of fish, birds, turtles, snakes, most small mammals and amphibians. As they grow larger they can even capture wild hogs, deer and other mid-sized game and domestic animals. At Gatorama, our alligators enjoy a healthy diet of chicken and fish.
