You have come to the right place if you are looking for a fun and educational field trip opportunity for your group.  We offer four age appropriate programs aligned with the Sunshine State Standards that your students will love because they are fun and interesting and you will love because they are actually learning something new!

Group Admission Rates:

Group rates are based on a minimum of 10 paying people.

Students (pre-k to 6th grade)              $5.00/person

Students (7th-12th grade)                   $7.00/person

Adult Chaperones                                $12.95/person

Class Presentation and Encounter      $3.00/person

Hours:

Gatorama is open to the general public daily from 10-5.  However, field trip groups are asked to arrive at 9:00AM for groups larger than thirty and 10:00AM for groups of thirty and fewer.

Making a Reservation:

To make a reservation, your group leader must download the info letter and  reservation form.  With our new reservation form you may fill it out on-line and submit it via email right from your computer.  We recommend you print a copy for your records.  You may also print and fax your completed reservation form to (863)675-7191.

After your reservation form is received, your date will be entered into our Calendar and reserved for your group only.  We only book one group per day to ensure that your group enjoys the attention and experience that you deserve.

Within a week  you will receive a confirmation packet which is filled with educational materials, a confirmation letter and an estimated number of admission stickers for your group. Please bring a copy of your confirmation letter  with you on the day of your visit.

Arrivals and Payment:

When you arrive at Gatorama, please have the bus driver pull into the circular drive and wait by the front door to be greeted by your educator who will board the bus and give you directions.  Chaperones who do not ride the bus must be wearing a Gatorama admission sticker and should wait for the group at the pavilion located to the left of the gift shop.

You are responsible for the admission stickers sent to you.  All unused stickers must be returned or you will be charged for them.  You may pay by cash or check.  Payment is expected on the day of your visit, with no exceptions.  If your group qualifies for tax exempt status, please bring your tax exempt form with you, or fax it to us at (863)675-7191.

Picnic Areas:

School groups are encouraged to bring their lunches with them.  Picnic tables at the Education pavilion are available for your group to use for lunch.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.How many chaperones will I need?

Gatorama requires a 1:10 ratio of adults to students; therefore your group receives one complimentary adult admission for every ten paid student admissions.  Additional adults are $12.95 and do not pay for the presentation.  All adults must pay with the group and will be charged the regular daily admission ($14.95) if they arrive on the day of the field trip with no admission sticker.

2. Can we feed the alligators?

Of course.  We sell packages of bread for $1.00 and recommend one package per 2-3 students.  These can be bought the day of the field trip or pre-ordered.  However, for the safety of our animals we do not allow any outside food into the park.

3. Do you have a gift shop?

Yes, students and chaperones are welcome to shop in our gift shop.  However, due to the small size of our gift shop, we have a strict policy of only one chaperoned group in the shop at a time.  This means that only 10 students with at least one adult may be in the gift shop at any one time. We also ask that chaperones take the responsibility of helping young shoppers make wise purchase choices.  Students don’t often realize that there is sales tax added to each purchase.

4. Can chaperones bring other family members?

Other family members are welcome.  They must pay the appropriate rate plus the educational program rate if your group chooses that.  Also, to receive the field trip rate, they must prepay.  If they show up on the day of the fieldtrip to Gatorama with no admission sticker they will be charged the daily admission rate plus the educational program rate.

5. How long can we spend at Gatorama?

A typical field trip at Gatorama looks like this:

Arrive                          10:00AM

Presentation               10:15AM

Self-guided tour         10:45AM

Feeding Show            11:30AM

Lunch                         11:45AM

Depart                         12:30PM

Your group may stay longer if you choose to.  You may also want to schedule some shopping time if you would like.  Also groups of 30 or more will be split into two groups for the presentation and should arrive at 9:00 instead of 10:00.  This schedule is just a recommendation, the only things that are set times are the Ed Presentation and the Feeding Show.

 6. We want to bring our whole grade level can you accommodate us?

Gatorama can easily accommodate groups up to 60 students in one day.  If your group has more than that we ask that you break your group up into smaller groups and come on separate days.  This provides a better experience for the teacher and the students
