About Gatorama

Steeped in old Florida charm, Gatorama is one of the few remaining original roadside attractions. Thousands of those snaggle-tooth behemoths of the swampy southern lowlands call Gatorama home along with Allen and Patty Register and their son Benjamin. Teetering on the edge of civilization the Register’s are fifth and sixth generation crackers who love sharing their piece of the Everglades with the thousands of visitors that make the trek down south of Highlands County.
A visit to Gatorama includes an exciting walk along bridges and walks teeming with alligators, crocodiles, monkeys, bobcats, panthers, birds, and other Florida wildlife. All set in a natural hammock. No binoculars required! Meet the zookeeper and take your your picture holding a live alligator. See one of the shows at 11:30 and 2:30 Monday through Saturday or catch the one show on Sunday at 4:30 after church. Added adventures may be purchased like an opportunity to be a keeper and feed the giants at one of the shows! Purchase Gator tail and ribs--or homemade Gator Gumbo if Patty has any in the pot!
Customized experiences offered include birthday parties, scouting adventures, and field experiences for students and teachers. We can also host your next group or corporate event. Reserve a “Gator Night Shining”. A rare chance for your group to tour our working farm and park after hours as the sun goes down. You will be entertained and informed as you learn and experience all aspects of alligator management and farming. You'll enjoy a honest to goodness cracker meal of gator tail and ribs, BBQ, swamp cabbage, and all the fixins’--Then armed with just a flashlight you'll night shine just like the poachers of old did.
Finish the evening sitting around the fire swapping tales.
If you are going to be visiting Florida soon, a stop at Gatorama must be on your list of places to enjoy!
